Obituary
Charles Eugene Crabtree Jr. "Tree" son of Charles Crabtree Sr. and Elizabeth Ann Crayton. Charles was happily welcomed into this life on October 24, 1964, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He accepted Christ at an early age.
Charles loved God and would "every morning" before his feet hit the floor, he would sit up on the side of the bed and even kneeling some days to praise the Lord and glory His name.
Charles attended School #67 (where he first met his wife), Emmerich Manual High School and later graduating from Crispus Attucks High School.
Charles and Tammy Crabtree were happily united in Holy Matrimony on July 6, 2009, they had an unbreakable bond and remained married and in love until his untimely death, now their love will last forevermore.
Charles formerly worked for several years as a Driver-Patient Transporter at Functional Medicine.
Charles was known for his "loving and caring heart". Charles would give you the shirt off his back and literally has done so for so many people. Charles went above and beyond to provide a loving home for his wife and Tammy's every wish was his command. He gave so much of himself to his family and others, whether it was a shoulder to cry on or an ear for listening or maybe just a simply smile full of laughter stemming from one of his farfetched trails.
Charles was a big gentle teddy bear who did NOT have a mean bone in his body. He never met a stranger instead he chose to see the good in everyone. Charles was a fun-loving jokester that could've made a living as a comedian cracking jokes as he lit up every room he entered with a smile and laughter. Oh my, how I'm going to miss that. Charles loved his wife's cooking and would jokingly say "Tree-Tree" love Lasagna or "Tree-Tree" love French Fries" ("Oh my, I can her him saying that as I type this"). He loved watching basketball and football games, traveling, and providing for his family along the way. My love, I'm in tears as I write your obituary as I can still hear the last words that you said to me They were, I want to come home. You're still my wife and I love and miss you so much, there's nothing in this world that I more than to come home to my wife. Yeah, my mind and heart maybe failing me, but they didn't fail me when I picked you to be my wife." A couple of days later you were gone.
Charles truly ADORED his wife, children, glam-children, family and friends. "HUSBAND" was the name his wife called him. And "PAWPAW" is what he was called by his loving affectionate glam-children who he LOVED having in his presence and PAWPAW always had a gift or two for his beloved glam-children. His family and friends affectionately called him "TREE", Tree Rallo or BamBam. He loved sharing his knowledge and wisdom and his testimonies were valued. Charles always had a farfetched story or joke that would light up any room he entered with laughter. He was truly "The Magnificent" and loving him came EFFORTLESSLY.
Charles aka "Tree" was well-known and respected by many. You either loved him or you didn't there not a in between and as he would say "it is what it is". He was a manner able, kind-hearted, loving, and generous person. And his heart of gold did NOT go unnoticed. His presence will be truly missed. Until, we meet again, I and the family will always love you. Husband, take your rest in God's loving arms.
Mr. Charles Eugene Crabtree Jr. "Tree" went home to rest in the arms of the Lord on October 12, 2023, at the age of 58 years young. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles Crabtree Sr. and Elizabeth Ann Crayton; brother, Andre Johnson, and nephew Dontae' Hill.
Charles leaves to cherish his memory wife, Tammy Crabtree; sons, Charles L. Crabtree (Johnise), Trey Bebley Jr., Malik Collins, and Darian Jackson; daughter, Jamicka Cummings; stepson, Raymond Mockabee III; brothers, Tim Willoughby, and Thomas Hause; sisters, Kay Johnson (Ephris), Thomasa Hause, and Brenda Crabtree; nephew, Devonta Slater; nieces, LaTasha Crutcher, Brittany Johnson, and Shantae Smith; glam-children, Carlito Crabtree, Zoe Crabtree, Raymond Mockabee IV, Adore' Mockabee, Machai Bebley, Mason Bebley, Milan Bebley, Lavin Bebley; Tyrese Reynolds, and Syncere Miller, 5 great-nephews, one great-niece and a host of cousins, and friends.
