Charles Crate Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pippin Funeral Home - Camden Wyoming on Sep. 14, 2024.
Charles Lee Crate Sr., born January 11, 1964, in Saranac Lake, NY, passed away peacefully at his home in Felton, DE, on September 10, 2024, at the age of 60.
Charles, known for his big heart and hands-on skills, was a true "Jack of all trades." Whether it was working at PODS or taking care of countless tasks around the house, he was always willing to drop what he was doing to lend a helping hand. He was passionate about cars, motorcycles, shooting guns and bow and arrows, hunting, fishing, and enjoying a good western movie. He also had a love for collecting knives, each piece representing his adventurous and rugged spirit.
Charles is survived by his loving family: his son, Charles Crate Jr.; his daughter, Crystal Crate; his spouse, Cynthia Crate; and his cherished granddogs, Buddy and Dollie. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
In accordance with his wishes, Charles will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at Brecknock Park (80 Old Camden Road Camden, DE 19934) on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 11 a.m., where family and friends will gather to celebrate his life and share their fondest memories of him.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Charles' generous spirit by offering a helping hand to someone in need, just as he so often did.
Rest in peace, Charles.
