Charles "Pat" Patton Davis (79) died on Friday, August 22. 2025, at his residence in Killeen, TX, surrounded by his family. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 22, 1946, to Charles Oliver Davis and Tommie Jule Lambert Davis. The family moved to Mississippi and Pat graduated from Pascagoula High School in 1965.

He worked at Ingalls Shipyard as a crane operator in Jackson County. He then worked for WWW Waltman Plumbing with his father-in-law "Buzz" Waltman as a heavy equipment operator. His love of working with machinery would be his occupation for years to come. His sons and grandsons learned work ethics at a very young age and how to work on machinery. Pat was a successful machine operator and won the Excavation Operator Rodeo in 1982. He left Mississippi in 1983 and moved to Texas with his wife Donnette Medcalf Davis. The couple gave birth to another child in 1987, giving them seven children in all. He took his skills to Chafin Purser Construction where he worked his way up to supervisor for 32 years. Pat's other love was fast cars and bikes. To know Pat, meant you saw every one of his toys, from motorcycles to corvettes, to his final love…his Challenger! He enjoyed hunting, fishing and BBQ with his family and friends throughout his life. "Pats famous wings" was a favorite by all. He was just a jack of all trades and took pride in everything he did.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Billy Frank Rials and sister, Rita Paulette Davis.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 41 years, Donnette Medcalf Davis and their seven children: son, Charles "Chuck" Davis Jr., daughter, Tonya Davis Mazingo (Bruce), daughter, Teresa Renee "Nay-Nay" Hawes (Troy), daughter, Angela Karen Brewer, all of Mississippi. Son, Curtis A. White (Amy), son, Shawn Moore, son, Cory Jo Davis, all of Texas. Brother, "Bob" Davis (Dyanne); sister, Martha Davis (Larry) of Mississippi, and sister, Katherine Webb of California. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, all of which he loved dearly.

Pat was loved and will be missed by many. We share 2 wonderful grandsons with him and Donnette and shared many family BBQs for many years. We will certainly miss those wings and brisket. Our love, thoughts and prayers go to the entire family!
