Born in Greenwood, Charles was the son of Henry Young and the late Judy Bruce Young. He attended Crosspoint Church of Newberry, was an Air Force veteran, a member of Palmetto Masonic Lodge #19, a Shriner, and loved fishing and riding motorcycles.
In addition to his wife and father, Charles is survived by his children, Allen Davis, Brittnie Turner (Jay), Tyler Davis, Justin Graydon, and Jada Martin (Tim); grandchildren, Kyleigh Turner (Hunter), Taven Darnell, Jordan Darnell, Kyrie Williams "Knucklehead"; siblings, Andrew Young (Kristi), and Jennifer Armstrong (Ryan); nieces, Tristan Edwards (Cayo) and Tagan Edwards (Kris); nephew,Michael Young; a special friend, Dwight Gregory; and his dog, Nova.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at The Kennedy Mortuary Chapel with visitation following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741 or to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
