Charles Warne Dawkins

CHARLES "CHARLIE" WARNE DAWKINS, late of Charleston WV, passed away on June 25, 2023.
Charles was born on August 8, 1938. He served in the United States Marine Corp from 1958 - 1961. He went on to graduate from West Virginia State and worked for many years in the West Virginia Primary Care Division and the Women's Infants and Children program at the State Director level.
Charles was a loyal, kind, caring and loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend loved being active and played basketball, tennis, softball and going out on the golf course. A passionate WVU sports fan, he never missed a game and read every article about the teams he could.
Charles is survived by his wife of 61 years Anna Lee Dawkins; his daughter Lisa Ann Dawkins and her husband Price Tubbs-Talley, his son Charles Warne Dawkins Jr; his grandson George Brady Dawkins and his beloved dog Bubba. Charles was preceded in death by Frances Dawkins, his mother; John Dawkins, his brother.
