Charles Dienglewicz Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by MeadowLawn Funeral Home, Crematory and Cemetery on Dec. 12, 2025.
Charles "Pat" Patrick Dienglewicz, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025. He was born on October 31, 1932, in San Antonio, Texas, to Joseph Charles Dienglewicz and Inez Bethea.

Pat answered the call of duty at a young age, serving honorably in the United States Air Force for four years. After completing his military service, Pat continued his lifelong commitment to supporting his country by working in civil service at Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio. It was there that he met the love of his life, Joyce Murphy. Their bond grew quickly, leading to a beautiful marriage that lasted 63 years.

A man of many talents, Pat enjoyed oil painting, drawing and woodworking. His creations were heartfelt expressions of his creativity. Pat most loved spending time with his grandchildren. He and Joyce spent many summers watching them in the backyard on rope swings, playing soccer, and cooling off in the kiddie pool. "Nana and Papa's" house was the place to be during summer vacation, and he loved that he was able to provide that for them.

Pat is survived by his devoted wife, Joyce M. Dienglewicz; his children, Craig P. Dienglewicz, Tracy Johnson (Jay), and Marilea Price; and his cherished grandchildren, Martin Shaughnessy, Hailey Dienglewicz, Evan Johnson, and Jacob Johnson. He is also survived by his siblings, Robert Dienglewicz and Leslie Leatherman.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Kenny and Tony Dienglewicz; and his beloved son, Charles "Chuck" Dienglewicz Jr.

Pat will be remembered for his indomitable spirit and his steadfast love for his family. His legacy continues in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him. May he rest in eternal peace.

Services will be held on December 18th at St Luke's Catholic Church. Rosary will be at 9:30am with funeral mass to follow.
