Charles Wilson Disher, 90, of Vandalia, Michigan died peacefully Friday, August 22, 2025 at his home.

He was born June 4, 1935 in Charleston, South Carolina to Laurie and Nadine (Wright) Disher.

On May 11, 1957 he married Barbara J. Kling in Goshen. She preceded him in death on March 25, 2008.

Survivors include his daughter, Shawn Disher of Vandalia, Michigan; his son, Ronald Maynard of Elkhart; 12 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Jackie Wilson Disher; granddaughter, Amanda Disher; grandson, Michael Wise; great-granddaughter, Alexcia Hernandez; a sister, Barbara Disher; and two brothers, Laurie and Jr. Disher.

After a long and fulfilling career, Charles retired from Marque Ambulance in 2000. He was also a proud member of the Goshen Eagles Lodge.

Charles will be remembered for his kind heart and his passion for music. He was a talented musician who enjoyed playing guitar and harmonica, bringing joy to those around him. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until the 6:00 p.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Clinton Keifer will officiate.

According to his wishes, cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory. The burial of his cremated remains will take place at Baintertown at a later date.
