Charles "Charlie" Drolet

Charles (Charlie) Drolet, 79, formerly of Huntington, N.Y., died on June 4 at Sarasota Memorial Hospital from a long illness, surrounded by family and friends. He had been a resident of Sarasota for many years.
Charlie was one of eleven children of Charles and Margaret Drolet. Two of his brothers preceded him in death. He is survived by brothers Lawrence and James and six sisters, Pat Drolet, Monica Drolet, Mary Peck, Eileen Stagg, Regina Hitt and Cecilia Tuerpe'. He is also survived by his beautiful daughters, Karen Drolet, Lee Ann Wagner and Christina Muse and four grandchildren. Charlie was a man of many talents, owned restaurants and worked hard at all other jobs throughout his life. He enjoyed scuba diving, deep sea fishing and golf and as told by some, was "one heck of a guy". A small memorial service will be held at St. Martha's Catholic Church on Saturday, June 17 at 10 a.m.
