Charles Howard Duke, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, departed this life on November 6, 2025, at the age of 59. Charles was born on September 10, 1966, in Dallas, Texas, and was a resident of Banner, Mississippi.
Charles was employed as a Master Pipe Welder with Upchurch Plumbing in Greenwood, MS. He was a member of the Bruce First Baptist Church. Charles had a passion for hunting, especially deer hunting, and enjoyed sharing those experiences with loved ones.
He is survived by his loving wife, Priscilla Camp Duke of Banner, MS; his mother, Jackie Mitchell Gregory of Pittsboro, MS; his daughter, Nicole (Scotty) Cotten of Bruce, MS; his son, Chase Duke of Bruce, MS; his brother, Karl Duke of Chicago, IL; and his cherished grandchildren, Sutton, Sawyer, and Sage Cotten of Bruce, MS. Charles leaves behind a legacy of love and values that will be carried on through his family.
A public visitation will be held at Parker Memorial Funeral Home on November 9, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place in Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, beginning at 2:00 PM with Bro. Darrell Logan and Bro. Sam Yarbrough officiating. Charles will be laid to rest at Rocky Mount Cemetery in Pittsboro, Mississippi.
Serving as pallbearers are Chase Duke, Scotty Cotten, Michael Cook, Jeff McGregor, Brian Stewart, Keith Snellings, James Gregory, and Curt Tunnell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Charles' Grandsons; Sutton, Sawyer, and Sage Cotten.
As we gather to honor and remember Charles, we invite all who knew him to share in this time of reflection and celebration of a life well-lived.
Charles was preceded in death by his father, Paul Dane Gregory and brother, William Brandon "Bill" Duke.
Parker Memeorial Funeral Home is honored to be of service to the Duke family during this time of loss.
