Charles DuPuch Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Paradise Memorial Funeral Home - Miami on Dec. 17, 2025.
Charles Ulric DuPuch, born on April 13, 1939, in Eleuthera, Bahamas, peacefully transitioned to eternal life on the evening of November 30, 2025. He leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and cherished memories that will continue to resonate in the hearts of his family and friends.

After leaving his beloved Bahamas, Charles found a new home in Coconut Grove, Florida, where he embraced a vibrant community and forged lifelong connections. His educational journey took him through the halls of George Washington Carver in the Dade County Public School system, laying the foundation for a life dedicated to service.

For nearly three decades, Charles served as a dedicated postal carrier with the U.S. Post Office, working diligently for 28 years and 9 months before retiring on January 1, 1993. His commitment to his work was matched only by the love he held for his family.

Charles's heart overflowed with affection for his family. He is survived by his children and their spouses: Vernette, Andrea, Joseph III (Luretta), Carlese, Darryl, Kevin (Shedene), and Dwayne DuPuch. He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, including Amanda and Brice Speights, Shayna Kelly, Hector, Joseph IV, Tekuesa, Kristoff, Dakota DuPuch, Cameron Collier, Roger Truesdell Jr., Jayda, Darryl Jr. DuPuch, Kheori, Jaien, Kamai DuPuch, Dwight Jr., Dwon, and Da'shawn DuPuch. His legacy continues through his nine cherished great-grandchildren. He is also remembered by his sister, Mary Jessie and his brother, Gilbert DuPuch.

Charles was preceded in death by his loving parents, Theodora and Joseph, along with his brothers Arthur, Gene, James, Harold, Hugh, George, Marvin, and Joseph II, as well as his sisters Mary, Helen, and Blaneva, and his son, Dwight. Their names will forever resonate in the memories of those who loved him.
Charles's spirit will live on through the innumerable lives he touched, and the unwavering love that defined his existence. His kind heart will be deeply missed but forever celebrated by family, friends, and all who knew him.

In this time of mourning, may his legacy continue to inspire love and unity among his family and the community he cherished so dearly.
