Charles "Wendy" Eaves

Charles L. "Wendy" Eaves, Sr., 92, of Buna died Friday, March 20, 2026 at this home in Buna.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Sunday, March 22, at Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Buna with burial at Eaves Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Saturday at the funeral home.

Charles was born Feb. 3, 1934 in the Gist Community and was a lifelong resident of the Buna area. He was a retired Road Foreman for Jasper County Precinct 4.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Eaves of Buna; children, Belinda Posey and husband Darrell of Buna; Charles "Son" Eaves, Jr. and wife Bonita of Buna; and Tammy Mooney and husband Delvin of Vidor; brothers, Joe Eaves and wife Billie of Buna and Larry Eaves and wife Patricia of Evadale; 13 grandchildren, Justin Butchee, Cody Butchee, Katelyn Clark, Courtney Shatto, Brittany Ernst, Aubree Snipes, Emily Sonnier, Daniel Eaves, Blaine Eaves, Lacy Meaux, Lyndsay Larson, Madison Bonds, Brendan Bonds, and Leslie Mooney; 25 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Ada Martha (Willey) Eaves; son, Baby Boy Eaves; granddaughter, Heather Butchee; great grandchildren, A'Myah Hadnot, Noa Grace and Hallee Kate Sonnier.
