Charles Edward Emond

Charles "Charlie" Edward Emond passed away on March 11, 2026 peacefully with his daughter Michelle by his side at the age of 80. He is predeceased by his son

Michael Emond, January 19th, 2025.

Charlie, son of the late Helen (Porupski) and Albert Emond was born April 3, 1945 in NYC, moving to Orange County in the 1960's. He relocated to Florida in 1986 to

continue his career with IBM as an entry level operations, and later continued his career up the ladder and became a dedicated manager and professional program

operator within the company. His dedication allowed him to thrive without a degree of higher education, his brain power and smarts allowed him to persevere

in his career. He found joy on the golf course, in the pages of a good book, and in sharing his unmistakable sense of humor with those around him. He relocated to

Braemar in Middletown in 2022.

Charlie proudly served in the US Air Force from May 1965 through December 1968. He demonstrated dedication, discipline, and a deep sense of duty. During

his time in the service, he formed lasting friendships and carried with him a strong pride in having worn the uniform. His commitment to serving his country

remained a meaningful part of his life long after his years of active duty.

Survivors include daughter, Michelle (Mike Loiacono) and his three granddaughters whom he adored, Olivia, Isabella, and Ava Emond. His brother

Richard,(Diane) of Port St. Lucie, FL, nephew Curt, great nephews Talisian, Richard, niece Jill, (Chris Chapman) and great niece April, and Margaret Emond

(mother of his children), as well as many cousins, friends, and professional colleagues.

Visitation are Friday March 13th from 9:30-11:30am @Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, 130 Highland Ave., Middletown, N.Y.10940

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12pm at St. Paul's Church, Route 17 K, Bullville, N.Y. Burial with Military honors immediately following at Orange County Veterans Cemetery in Goshen, NY.
