Charles J. Ericson

Charles J. Ericson, 99, of Westminster, SC, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025, at the Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca, SC.

Born in New Jersey, he was the son of the late John and Helen Ericson. Charles was a proud veteran, having served his country as a member of the United States Coast Guard during WWII. Following his military service, he dedicated his life to protecting and serving others as a Police Officer, a role he carried out with honor, courage, and a deep commitment to his community. Charles served as a School Resource Officer in Broward County Schools in Florida. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Shriners.

Charles was married to the late Marilyn Ericson for 73 years, with whom he shared a life of love, family, and devotion.

He is survived by his four sons: Gary Ericson (Loretta), Glen Ericson (Tamera); Mark Ericson (Joyce); and Neal Ericson (Michelle); six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and a niece, Cheryl Ares.

In addition to his wife and parents, Charles was preceded in death by his sister, Helen Ares.

Charles will be remembered as a man of integrity and service, whose legacy of dedication to his family, his community, and his country will continue to live on through those who knew and loved him.

A Celebration Of Life Service will be held at a later date.
