Charles E. Evans, a beloved father, grandfather, and a dedicated professional, passed away on December 14, 2024, at the age of 83. Charles was a respected member of U.A. Local 440 Pipefitters and Plumbers and HVAC Techs in Indianapolis, Indiana. Throughout his career, he exhibited a hardworking nature from a young age, beginning at just ten years old, and he continued to exemplify this work ethic throughout his life.

Born on March 28, 1941, Charles's passion for his profession was matched only by his love for his family and friends. He found great joy in life's simple pleasures, particularly the time spent with his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy. His engaging personality, strong work ethic, and fondness for music left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He cherished the relationships forged during his career, especially with his apprentices, whom he viewed with admiration and respect.

Charles is survived by his life partner, JoAnn Nardini, and children Donald Evans, Edward Evans, and Deborah Imeroni. He is also remembered by his siblings Bill Evans, Linda Coldiron, Robert Evans, James Evans, Gary Evans, and Mike Evans. In addition, he leaves behind an extensive legacy through his grandchildren: Kieth Geils, Don E. Evans, Miranda Evans, Maxwell Wallach, Charlie Evans, Kevin Toole, Felicia Toole, Amber Rea, Travis Tustin, John JJ Messer, Noah Evans, Kenny Evans, Stacie Rauch, Sophia Imeroni, and Nicholas Evans.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Noah and Virginia (Smith) Evans, as well as two of his children, Kimberly Wallach and Karen Toole. His siblings, Jane Ruth Evans and Paul Evans, also passed before him.

Family and friends are invited to honor Charles’s life at Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home 4619 Delhi Rd. Family will greet friends on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11 AM

Charles E. Evans will be remembered for his love of people and life, and for the countless lives he touched during his time with us. His unwavering spirit and dedication to his family and profession will continue to inspire all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
