Charles Albert Fetterhoff Jr., 78, of Waynesboro, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 in the
Chambersburg Hospital, PA.
Born August 30, 1946 in Waynesboro, he was a son of the late Charles A. Fetterhoff Sr. and Anna
Margret Keefer.
Charles graduated from James Buchanan High School in 1965 and enlisted in the United States Army
during the Vietnam War. Charles worked as an advertising agent at The Daily Mail in Va. Inc., the Herald
Mail, and Mercersburg Journal. He also worked in the ski shop at Ski Liberty, Montgomery Ward Inc.,
and retired from Sears after working in the electronics department. Charles enjoyed the outdoors,
hunting small game, whitetail deer, and found his love for skiing downhill and slalom racing. Charles
always hoped one day to win the lottery.
Charles was a member of the Greencastle VFW 6319 and the Greencastle American Legion 373.
Charles is survived by his wife of 59 years, Linda Lansberry Fetterhoff, a daughter, Lisa Greene, 3
grandchildren, Kayla, Lindsay, David Jr., 7 great-grandchildren, Kinsley, Weston, Avehana, Hazel,Phoenix,
Alvin, and Hayven. Surviving cousins include, Mr. and Mrs. David Fetterhoff, Mr. and Mrs. Rob Webber,
Mr. and Mrs. Rick Fetterhoff, Mr. and Mrs. Bittinger, Terry and Clair Heckman, Steve and Tim Fetterhoff,
Gene Yeager, and Proceeded by Linda Fetterhoff.
A memorial service will be 11:00 AM on Friday, February 21, 2025 at Fries Funeral Home in Mercersburg
with Pastor David Pine officiating. There will be a visitation 1 hour prior to the service.
