Charles "Dean" Finley

Charles Dean Finley, age 84, of Nebo, North Carolina passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Amorem Patient Care. A native of McDowell County, Dean was born on October 8, 1937 to the late Alphonzo Dewey and Fannie Gardin Finley.
He is preceded in death by one son, Charles Jason Finley and one brother, Dewey Eugene Finley.
Dean was a graduate of Nebo High School and retired from High Point Sprinkler in Hickory. He was a proud United States Navy veteran. Dean enjoyed eating breakfast out and visiting with his friends.
He is survived by his son, Clarence Joey Finley (Debbie); one sister, Florence F. Young; two grandchildren, Caitlin Finley and Conner Finley; friend and caregiver, Jackie Denton and his pet squirrel, "Shirley".
A private graveside service will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. at Wilson Ballew Cemetery with Reverend Jim Lewis officiating.
