Charles Fox Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 2, 2025.
On September 28, 2025, Charles South Fox was called home to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ whom he loved and served and spoke about all throughout his life, even up until his last moments. Chuck passed away peacefully at home holding onto the love of his life's hand with her laying by his side and a room so full of his posterity you couldn't even move. This just shows who he was and what he dedicated his life to. He was greeted on the other side by his daughter Lisa. Chuck had been looking forward to that moment for 29 years.

Chuck was born on June 24, 1943, to S. Ross Fox and Blanch Fox, in Salt Lake City. He loved and revered his parents and felt blessed to be raised by such wonderful parents. He lived a life that would make them proud, that was always important to him. He loved his 4 brothers and sister and talked often of them.

After graduating from Granger High School, Chuck went on a scholarship to BYU. It was there where he realized he was at the wrong school and transferred to the University of Utah and gained his bachelor's degree there. He had a deep love for the Utah Utes and when he passed, he was proudly wearing his Utah Utes jersey. Go Utes!

On February 15, 1962, he was married and sealed in the Manti Temple to Sandra J and he considered this to be the best and most important day of his life. When he married Sandra, he gained a wonderful set of "Bonus Parents", Shag Jensen and Beth Jensen whom he loved dearly and served throughout his life. He also gained two brothers, Larry Jensen and Dick Jensen, who he admired, cherished and loved deeply.

Chuck created and was the Owner/President of Foxwood Inc. for over 35 years. He put his heart into this business and made it a successful business and was able to pass it down to his sons. He loved spending time at work with his sons. The most important thing for Chuck in being a business owner and something he put above anything else was being an honest man. Sometimes that came at a cost, but he never swayed. He aways remained honest in all his business doings.

He and Sandra were Bountiful Temple workers for 15 years. Chuck loved the Temple, and he cherished those years he got to spend in the Temple. Chuck had a strong testimony and lived his life so that all those around him knew that. He shared his testimony often and testified of his Savior each day of his life.

Chuck was truly a giant among men. He was a simple man who did not value worldly possessions. He valued 3 things and lived his life as such-God, his wife and his children/ grandchildren. Chuck's legacy will be the love story of he and Sandra. Truly one of the greatest love stories of all time. He and Sandra had their "first kiss" when they were five years old, and they were inseparable ever since. They were very best friends and always put each other first. Their hearts were one and even after 62 years of marriage they remained madly and deeply in love. He nicknamed her "Punkin" and adored her in every way. They had 10 kids together and created the most beautiful life. Being a father was the most important thing to Chuck. He was a selfless man, and he devoted his whole life to his wife, his kids and grandchildren. His favorite thing in the world was being with his family. He had a way of making you feel like the most special person in the world. He loved fishing at the cabin with his kids and grandkids and being at Disneyland with his family. Chuck was an example to all those around him of a loving, gentle, kind and devoted husband and father. He was one of the most loving and kind men and greeted everyone he met with such love. His 10 kids, 9 " bonus kids" (he didn't believe in "in-laws"), 52 grandkids and 15 great-grandkids all adore their dad/grandpa and consider themselves to be the luckiest that they got the best in the world. His last words to his kids were "take care of mom". Even as he took his last breaths, his thoughts were on Sandra, his love of his life.

Chuck, Sandra and the family would like to give a special thanks to Scot, Chelsea, Skee and Angie Fox who cared for Chuck in their home the last few years. Every day for the last few years, they gave of their time and love to care for him. It was a large task, and they did it with such love, kindness and without complaint. We would also like to thank Troy and Lisa Fox for diligently managing Chuck's health, in an out of hospitals and clinics for the last ten years.

There will be a private graveside service for immediate family members on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.
