Chuck was born to Charlie Clifton Fuller and Zelma Fuller, who, along with his first love and mother of his children, Paulette M. Fuller; his second wife Norma Ruth Fuller, brother Harvey C. Fuller, sister Betty Joan Shores, and stepson Zach Sandlin, preceded him in death. The torch of his spirit is carried on by his wife, Wilberlene Fuller; his son, Lewis E (Kathy) Fuller of Titus, AL; his daughter, Elizabeth G White of Pike Road, AL; his grandson, Randall L. Mauney; his granddaughter, Maranda J. (Jordan) Fain; and his great-granddaughters, Emersyn A. Fain and Harlow R. Fain.
At the tender age of seventeen, Chuck felt the call of duty and enlisted in the United States Army. His patriotism and commitment to service were further exemplified when he joined the United States Air Force, serving his country for over 20 years, including during the Vietnam War. His dedication to maintaining safety and order was evident in his role with the military police. After his esteemed military career, he continued to serve his community by working with the Alexander City Water Department, from which he retired after more than two decades of faithful service.
Chuck's passion for his fellow servicemen and women was evident in his active participation with the local veteran's honor guard, where he paid tribute to those who had served their country with honor. His involvement with the American Legion showcased his continued commitment to veteran affairs and the shared camaraderie of those who donned the uniform.
A pillar of the Alex City Church of Christ, Chuck's faith was the cornerstone of his existence. His dedication to his faith community was a testament to his belief in service, fellowship, and the power of compassion. Chuck's friendly nature made him a beloved figure within the congregation and the broader community, where his kindness and generosity touched countless lives.
