Charles Garnett Obituary

Published by Legacy on Dec. 5, 2025.
Charles Edward Garnett of Silver Ridge, Maine trudged off into the happy hunting grounds on November 21, 2025. He was delivered by Elsie Morgan on January 19, 1954 in Sherman, Maine to Kenneth and Eva (Knelsen) Garnett.
He created a beautiful life for himself with his love of 45 years, Jacklyn, by his side at the Garnett homestead on Welton Hill, surrounded by treasures, beautiful gardens, the best friends a guy could ask for, and a few of the finest Dobermans you ever did see.
He is survived by the love of his life, Jacklyn Greulich, a son Jason Campbell and his wife Milo, daughters Charlsey Davis and her husband Shawn, Carlyn Greulich-Garnett and her love Peter, a very nice grandson, Enzo, and his favorite, Hadley, siblings Beth Coyle, Sonny Garnett, Walter and his wife Penny Garnett, and Vicki Garnett, as well as bonus sisters Erlene Howard and Joette Duff, and mother-in-law Carlyn (Babe) Greulich.
He was a fixer, a thinker, a green thumb, a conspiracy theorist, a pool shark, a maker, a doer, and an antagonizer. He was the best hugger, the guy we all called when we needed help, the best dad, and the best substitute dad to many. Charles had a quiet sense of humor, a gentle side reserved for kids and animals, and a musical ability that not everyone was lucky enough to see. He took the time to appreciate the simpler things in life-building trails and wandering through the lower forty, feeding the birds, and hunting for an antique or a unique set of deer horns he didn't already have. He was very particular about his plants, his rows in the potato fields and his lawn, his handiwork, and his burgers.
There are no services planned at this time. Donations in Charles' memory can be made to Monarda Calvary Baptist Church in Silver Ridge. We ask that you remember Charles by doing some of the things that he loved to do-call your kids and tell them you love them just because, play a game of pool and talk trash, spend an evening playing guitars, listen to some good vinyl, hunt for a big set of deer horns, perfect your dart game, throw a few well packed snowballs, plant some fruit trees, whistle a tune, root for the underdog, and say your prayers.
"Fare you well, fare you well. I love you more than words can tell."
