Charles “Charlie” Delano Gerrald, of Statesboro, Georgia, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025. He was at home in Gulfport and surrounded by loved ones at the time of his death.
Mr. Gerrald spent a career honorably serving his country in the United Stated Army, including two tours in the Vietnam War. Noteworthy accomplishments included numerous service medals, decorations, and commendations while ultimately rising to the rank of 1st Sergeant.
Mr. Gerrald was preceded in death by his parents, William and Trudell Gerrald; siblings, Raymond and William Gerrald Jr.; and son, Brian Gerrald.
Survivors include his loving wife, Kathryn Gerrald; as well as three children, seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
A graveside service with U.S. Army military honors will be held at Biloxi National Cemetery in Biloxi on Monday, July 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport is honored to serve the Gerrald family.
