Charles Gibson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home Inc on Dec. 4, 2025.
Chad Gibson was born on January 26, 1988, and died on November 29, 2025. He is survived by his parents Cliff and Lisa Gibson, his grandmother Peggy Long Blair, his sister Joy Sills and her husband Adam, his nephews Jackson Sills and Bennett Sills and niece Dinah Sills who all called him ''Unca Chad''. He is also survived by his special uncle and aunt Mark and Hope Hartness and a host of other aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents Charles Gibson and Helen Gibson, and Bill Hartness.

Chad graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, and served as an intern for U.S. Senator Mark Pryor in Washington, D.C. He ran his own independent insurance agency in Fayetteville, Arkansas, until he returned home to Monticello to assist in management of the family farms.

Chad loved his time spent in the woods camping, white-water rafting, and fishing with his friends - especially those in need. He never met a stranger and loved his family and friends, and will be greatly missed by those touched by his wit, love and kindness.

Chad lost one of his best friends Brian Savage in 2013. In memory of that friendship, you are requested to make donations to the American Heart Association, 909 W. 2nd St., Little Rock, AR 72201.

Interment will be by private service.
