Charles Aron Griffin, 93, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026. He was the son of the late Thomas (Ed) Edward and Ida Pearson Griffin and the husband of Sybil Tapp Griffin. He was a retiree from Springs Industries. Charles was a member of Potter House Ministries.
Survivors also include three sons, Ricky Griffin (Donna), Mitchell Griffin (Michele) and Michael Griffin; a daughter, Becky Quinn (Shannon); four grandchildren, Blake Mills, reared in the home and caregiver, April Pace, Hannah Howell and Paisley Quinn; and four great-grandchildren, Adalyn Pace, Walker Pace, Payton Howell and Hayes Howell.
He was predeceased by five brothers, Edward Griffin, Richard Griffin, Wilbert Griffin, Bobby Joe Griffin and JW Griffin; and two sisters, Doris Ray and Mildred Pearson.
Funeral services will be held at 4PM on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at Stribling Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jose Ortez and Wick DeYoung officiating. The family will receive friends from 3PM until 4PM prior to the service.
Interment will be at Wood Memorial Park.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Spartanburg Regional Hospice.
