Charles Larry Harris, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on July 10, 1946, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, to Cecil Melvin Harris and Evelyn Williams Harris. He was preceded in death by his parents and his older brother, Melvin Harris.

Charles is survived by his devoted wife of 61¾ years, Edith; his children, Charles (Rita) and Bev; and five grandchildren who brought him immeasurable joy—Shelby, Lauren, Haley, Noah, and Erin. He is also survived by his brother, Jerry Wayne Harris (Becky) of Shreveport, Louisiana; and his nieces and nephews—Kevin, Kristie, Jay, and Carrie.

To his family, Charles was a hero—brilliant, capable, and endlessly resourceful. He possessed a rare gift for problem-solving, and those who knew him often relied on his steady wisdom and skill when challenges seemed insurmountable. Also, his craftsmanship was unmatched.

Charles attended Rankin Machinist School and went on to dedicate 38 years of his career to Charles Lewis Pump Company. A master machinist and engineer, he excelled in his work and deeply valued the friendships he formed there. He mentored countless young machinists, always offering his time, guidance, and generosity. Loyal, genuine, and humble, Charles made every workplace, home, and gathering better simply by being present.

He was patient, kind, funny, creative, and deeply loving. He cherished laughter and shared it freely with those around him.

Charlie was a proud, long-standing member of both the NRA and the Arnold Rifle and Pistol Club.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to a charity of your choice.
