Charles Heck Obituary
Charlie was a father, friend, and entrepreneur who loved history and believed in being a life long learner. He enjoyed photography and traveling. Charlie hiked on the Appalachian Trail, in the Grand Canyon and enjoyed skiing. His first business was Heck's Foreign Car Service. He ran the Toy Mart at Peddlers Village. Charlie also managed Peddlers Village for over 30 years. He valued his family and close circle of friends. Charlie will be missed dearly.
Charlie is survived by his children, Anna Margaret Heck Roberts and husband, Daniel, and their children, Luke Roberts and Dillan Roberts, Kathryn Heck Homan and husband, Adam, and their children, Talon Homan, Tristan Homan, and Jillian Leonard, Holland Charles Heck and wife, Anna, and their children, Elliott Heck and Lewis Heck; his sister, Anna "Carol" Lucas and husband, Charles; and his nephew, Weldon Lucas.
A Graveside Service with Burial of Cremains to celebrate Charlie's life will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Oakwood Cemetery, 701 Oakwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27601 with Minister Jennifer Scott officiating. Visitation with the family will follow the service at the graveside.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made in Charlie's memory to Oakwood Cemetery, 701 Oakwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27601.
