Charles Hete

It was my privilege to serve on the Civil Service Commission with Chuck for several years. His knowledge of the City was so impressive, and at the time being the newest member, he showed such kindness in showing me the ropes!! My time on the Commission was definitely made better by his presence at the meetings. He had a big impact on me and definitely a lasting memory that will stay with me. Dear Hete Family. I have so many fond memories of Chuck during the years he worked at Great Northern Savings. I did the purchasing for the bank and because of that position, Chuck helped me many, many times with deliveries and other tasks that needed done at all of the other branch locations. He would come to my office and sit down in the chair by my desk and we would have a nice chat. He told me one time that at the end of his day, he sat at his desk in the maintenance room and wrote everything that he did that day and anything else he felt he wanted to say about it. That must be the journal you are speaking about. We covered a lot of topics during those years and we were both there until the very end when the doors closed. He was a great man and I'm delighted to see that you were all together for his 90th birthday. God Bless All of You.

Sorry to read of Chuck's passing. May he rest in peace. He has now joined mom in a far better place! Our deepest sympathies.

Our condolence to the family on the passing of Chuck. We were good friends for many years as we were growing up and later with both Joyce & Chuck. Chuck and I along with our buddies had a lot of good times through the years. He had a well lived life.
