Charles Holdridge Obituary

Charles Clifford "Chuck" Holdridge
Born: November 24, 1940 in Dekalb, IL
Died: September 30, 2025 in Schaumburg, IL
Visitation for Charles Clifford "Chuck" Holdridge, 84, will be held Monday, October 6, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Michaels Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 800 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg. A memorial service will take place Tuesday, October 7, at 10:00 a.m., followed by inurnment at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
Chuck was born on November 24, 1940, in DeKalb to the late Clifford and Annette Holdridge (nee Skelley), and he peacefully passed away on September 30, 2025, in Palatine, surrounded by his daughters.
Chuck was a true family man. He loved nothing more than spending time with his loved ones, and his happiest moments were simply being together. He especially cherished time at the lake with family and friends. He was immensely proud of his three daughters and found great joy in supporting his grandchildren and spending time with both his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He will be remembered for his creativity, work ethic, and unwavering integrity, qualities that shaped his long career in marketing and the many friendships he built along the way. Chuck loved playing games (especially Dominoes) and, in his youth, was a talented water skier and avid golfer. A true sportsman, he excelled at basketball, tennis, and baseball. Known for his warmth and ability to connect with others, Chuck made lasting friendships everywhere he went. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
Loving father of Carla (Steve) Landi, Dana (Chris) Mays, Leslie (Jeff) Allenspach; beloved grandfather to Joe and Kristen Landi and Haley and Leah Allenspach; beloved great-grandfather of Charlie and Elliana Landi. Chuck was a devoted brother to Bob (Marie) Holdridge, and Bill (the late Linda) Holdridge. He is preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Kathleen (nee Bussac), his twin daughters Laurie Ann and Mary Catherine, his parents, and his brother Tom.
Chuck's love, laughter, and steady presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on in the family and friends who loved him dearly.
Flowers are welcome; however, those who wish to honor his memory may consider a donation to The Parkinson's Foundation at https://www.parkinson.org
