The Life Story of Charles Tyrone Holloman
Charles Tyrone Holloman was born Monday, July 10, 1961 in Chicago, Illinois to Charles C. and Mary Holloman. Charles attended William Penn Elementary School on the corner of 16th and Avers Avenue in Chicago, IL until his family relocated to
Joliet, IL. On Saturday, February 18, 2023, Tyrone heard God's voice and was granted entrance into paradise with his mighty wings. Awaiting his arrival was his mother, Mary Holloman; maternal/paternal grandparents; son-in-law, Ronald Jones Sr.; father-in-law, Charles Mabry Jr.; grandson, Alijah; special uncle, J.F. Holder and many other relatives and friends.
Charles attended Forest Park Church in
Joliet, IL during his youth and early teenage years. During his early to mid-20's, he accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior and joined Greater Bible Way Apostolic Temple where he was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of his sins under the leadership and auspices of the late Apostle Samuel Allen Sr. A few years later, he joined Christ Temple under the leadership of Bishop J.E. Moore, then moved his membership and united with Second Avenue Church under the leadership of Elder F.J. Wallace.
Charles, affectionately known as "Tyrone or Ty" attended Chicago and Joliet Public Schools. He graduated from Joliet Township East High School in 1980 and entered into the workforce. While in high school, Tyrone was a star athlete and played football and participated in Band playing the saxophone. Once he entered into the workforce, he worked as a "Shoe Shine Boy" for his father at Holloman's Shoe Repair, McDonald's, Jewel and eventually worked until he retired from Commonwealth Edison at the Dresden Generating Station as a mechanic in
Morris, IL.
Tyrone had a jovial spirit, loved his family and always had gatherings with family and friends either at his home or at a lavished establishment. When someone needed to liven up a party, Tyrone was the man to call on. He loved to joke around, play cards, socialize, dance and roller skate (in his youth). He was a GQ model in the making and loved to dress to impress. Every chance he got he loved to travel the world with his loving wife Rosie and spend time with his grandchildren.
Ty was heavily into the Masonic Organization until his health took precedence in his life. He was the Worshipful Master of Ashby B. Carter #138 in
Wheaton, IL in 1999. He received his degree as a York Rite Mason. A 32 degree Mason and received his degree as a Shriner. Charles Tyrone Holloman's health took a turn for the worse after dealing with his illness for over three decades. He was a contender and never gave up on life. He held on until he knew it was his time to go with God and his family would be alright. As he took his last breath and walked into the light, his loving and devoted wife Rosie, sat by his side holding his hand. Although Ty loved to entertain and have a good time, he was a family man and was always family oriented.
He leaves to cherish his everlasting memories, his loving, caring and devoted wife, Nurse Rosie Holloman, four children. Jessica Holloman-Jones (
Springfield, IL), Tyreeca Holloman (Phoenix, AZ), Tyrone Holloman (
Joliet, IL) and Carlos (Krystal) Holloman (
Joliet, IL); two bonus children, Adrian Clark (
Joliet, IL) and Dr. Irisha Clark (
Detroit, MI), father Charles C. (Teresa) Holloman (
Joliet, IL), two sisters,Tuwanna Holloman and Tertia Holloman (
Lockport, IL); one brother, Christopher Holloman (
Gary, IN); father and mother-in-Law, Leonard and Geraldine Littlepage (
Joliet, IL). Charles' grandchildren include; Jaleesa, Ronald Jr., Tyrone Jr., Jaela, Tobias, Dallas, Adrianna, Asir, Zair, Ty'Leah, and Jay'Lynn; great grandchildren, Rodolfo and Racardo. Ty also leaves behind numerous relatives, friends, his favorite uncle, Roosevelt Holloman, favorite cousins, Cherie and "Lady Bug" and best friend, Gregory "Butch" Bates. Close friends Eric Ware, Herman Sandifer and Robert Breeding.
His legacy will continue and his life's journey will forever be cherished, celebrated and honored by all the people who loved and appreciated him. He may not physically be with us any longer, but he will continuously live within our hearts and spirits all the days of our lives.
