Charles Cletis Hutton

Charles Cletis Hutton, 74, of Prince Frederick, MD, passed away on February 4, 2026. On February 17, 1951, Charles was born in Marion, VA, to the late Cletis and Bessie Hutton.

Charles retired from Safeway in June 2000 where he had worked as a grocery manager and a head night stocker. He was known for his dedication, kindness, and commitment to excellence. His colleagues often praised him for his leadership skills and his ability to create a welcoming and supportive environment for both employees and customers.

On June 17, 1977, Charles wed the love of his life, Dianne. Together, they were blessed with one son, Aaron Hutton, who resides in Gaithersburg, MD. Additionally, Charles was fortunate to embrace three stepchildren: John Moffett from Oak Island, NC, Bradley Moffett of Lusby, MD, and Shelley Allen from St. Leonard, MD.

Charles spent his free time taking care of yardwork and his wife's cherished flowers. He was always there to help anyone in need. He enjoyed collecting Redskin memorabilia and custom firearms. He also participated in a bowling league. Above all, he loved his family.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his cherished wife, children, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. No matter how his health was, he managed a keep a deep smile on his face. He was always there for family and friends and he will be greatly missed by everyone who loved him.
