Charles Hyde Obituary

Charles was born in Massena on June 13, 1961 to the late David J. and Helen A. Hyde. He attended Massena schools, graduating in 1980. He worked for Chicago Markets and Crosby Super Duper in Massena before transferring to Canton's Super Duper as Assistant Manager. In 1989 he joined the NYS Department of Corrections retiring in 2015.
Charles is survived by 1 sister, Ruth Hyde and her partner John Hall of Madrid and 1 brother, Timothy J. Hyde (Connie) of Reigelsville, PA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents.
Charles was an avid hunter and fisherman his entire life and was at home in the woods and on the water. He was a life long member of the Sylvan Falls Club in Parishville.
In May of 2024, Charles was diagnosed with ALS. He passed due to complications from it.
Arrangements are under the care and guidance of the Donaldson-Seymour Funeral Home, Potsdam, where friends may call on Monday, September 8, 2025 from 11am-1pm with services and burial immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ALS Society.
