Mr. Charles "Randall" Johnston

Johnston, Mr. Charles “Randall�, of Helena, passed this life on November 13, 2010 at his home. He is survived by his loving wife, Janie Hinds Johnston; his son, Shawn Erickson Johnston (wife, Anita Beck Johnston); his daughter, Ginger Danielle Johnston Roe (husband, Neal Roe); their families including three grandchildren; and his brother, Robert Erskine “Bob� Johnston of Montevallo. Funeral services will be held from Rockco Funeral Home, Montevallo, Monday, November 15, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Morrell Aldridge and Rev. Harris Cook officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Helena City Cemetery. Randall was well known and loved by his family, friends, neighbors and co-workers who were always charmed by his humor, his candor, his friendliness, and his caring spirit. As an acknowledged expert on pain management in the healthcare field coming from his years in the pharmaceutical industry, he came to know caregivers and caregiving first hand from the professionals who have helped to increase awareness of the need for such expertise. He had a comforting spirit which gave many such professionals an example of gentleness and caring for their patients, as well as their associates. His example will be missed.
