Charles Jones was called home peacefully to be with Jehovah on May 19, 2025, after a short illness. He was born on June 8, 1941, to his late parents Charleston and Mary Jones. Charles was the eldest of sixteen children.

Charles was educated in the Cedarville and Bridgeton school districts. Charles entered the Marines in 1958 and was honorably discharged four years later. Charles was a faithful participant in the Jehovah's Witness Hall. He worked for National Freight and finished his career with EI Dupont Chambers in Deepwater, NJ as a diesel mechanic.

Charles enjoyed spreading the good news of Jehovah to all who came in contact with him, bowling, playing spades, fishing, and camping with his children and grandchildren. Also, he enjoyed tinkering on engines whether it be boat, car, truck or RV as it didn't matter to him. As a result, he preferred older vehicles so that he could work on them to bring them back to working conditions. There wasn't much that Charles couldn't do regarding home renovations for family, friends or Jehovah Witness Hall. He enjoyed the challenge of trying to figure it out and would spend days until he got it right. He had a math and scientific mind so was always looking for things to do to satisfy that part of his mind. Later in life, Charles got into building computers from scratch. He stayed current with technology and greatly enjoyed having those discussions with his sons. It was a friendly competition that he looked forward to having with his sons to see who could one up each other. Charles was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Charles leaves to cherish his wife of 21 years Elizabeth (Bonnie) Jones, five children, Charles Jones II (Felicia) of South Carolina, Kenneth Jones (Pam) of Minnesota, Randy Kemp of Boston, MA, Elizabeth Jones of Millville, NJ, Theresa Jones Taylor of Glassboro, NJ and Ashley Jones (Joe) of Pennsylvania; 21 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, Siblings, Mary Jones of Norfolk, Va, Barbara' Peterson (Levern) of Columbia, SC. Alan Jones of Las Vegas, NV; Sandra Jones of Pacoima, CA, Terry Udoetuk (Sutoidem) of Vineland, NJ and Phyllis Jones of Vineland, NJ as well as other beloved family and friends.

Charles was preceded in death by his sons David A Jones and Robert L Jones; grandson Jordan Chase Pierce; Siblings Gail Jones, Michael Jones, James "Jimmy" Jones, Carl Jones, Michelle "Mickey" Jones, Harriet Brown, Carol Bailey, Beulah Dixon and Shirley Jones.
