COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Charles "Eddie" Jones, a cherished son, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Born on September 26, 1957, in Cookeville, Tennessee, Eddie lived his life dedicated to his work and family, retiring from C&S Communications, where he built a commendable career.
Eddie was a man of many interests; he had a passion for mechanical work and enjoyed shooting pool, activities that brought him joy and allowed him to connect with friends and family. His talents and skills were evident in every endeavor he pursued.
He leaves behind his beloved son, Charlie (Tosha) Jones of Cookeville, and his daughter, Mindy Jones of Oregon. He was a doting grandfather to his granddaughters, Elizabeth, Evelyn, and Gracie Jones, as well as his grandson, Kingston Jones, who will carry on his legacy and fond memories.
Eddie is survived by his brothers: Willie E. (Vicki) Jones, Jerry Wayne (Judy) Jones, Victor (Beth) Jones, and Carl (Lisa) Jones, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Earline Jones, his grandmother, Carrie Jones, and his brother, Johnny Raymond Jones. Eddie's memory will forever hold a special place in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him. His significant impact on the lives he touched will not be forgotten.
A Memorial Service is being planned and Eddie will be laid to rest at Algood City Cemetery. The date and time will be updated here when information becomes available.
