Charles Keene Obituary

Published by Legacy on Dec. 8, 2025.
Charles A. Keene, affectionately known as Charlie to all who had the pleasure of crossing his path, passed away on Thanksgiving, November 27, 2025, at the age of 90, surrounded by his loving family.
Charlie's life was filled with joy, laughter, and an unwavering dedication to his loved ones. He shared 59 wonderful years with his wife, Carol, a partnership that was the admiration of all. Together, they raised a family that includes their daughter Kriss, son Scott, daughter Becky, late son and daughter Kevin and Julie. Charles was the lucky grandparent of a baker's dozen grandchildren and a half-dozen great-grandchildren. He had the fine art of telling a good joke and the importance of a well-placed laugh.
He served his country in the Air Force during the Korean War. Later, he rose to the rank of Sergeant with the Glendale Police Department. He served with a sense of humor and smile that could defuse even the tensest situation and a sense of justice that made everyone feel safe.
Charlie enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and RVing, which was as infectious as his chuckle. He was that guy who could hook a fish with one hand while cracking a joke with the other. His love for sports was as expansive as the great outdoors he so enjoyed, cheering and jeering with the best of them, and always ready with a quip about the game.
To say Charlie was kind, funny, and friendly is akin to saying the Grand Canyon is just a hole in the ground. He was a master of mirth, a connoisseur of chuckles, and a friend to all. His ability to light up a room was only matched by his unwavering kindness and the warmth of his friendship.
As we bid farewell to Charlie, let us remember the echoes of his laughter that will continue to resonate in our hearts. He lived a life that was as full as his belly after a good meal and as rich as the stories he could spin. The memories of his humor, love, and the twinkle in his eye will remain an encore that never ends.
May your fishing lines always be tight, your campsites always cozy.
