Charles Kimball Obituary
May 6, 1943 - January 4, 2026
Charles "Norm" Kimball was born May 6, 1944, in Independence, Iowa, the son of Charles and Bernice (Stanford) Kimball.
He graduated from Buchanan High School in 1962. Norm married Linda Kramme on June 5, 1993, in Reno, Nev. He worked at John Deere as a Machinist for 36 years, until retiring in 2001.
Norm enjoyed traveling in his RV with many Florida winters. He was a committed snowmobiler, an avid bowler. He enjoyed boating, hunting, fishing and motorcycling.
Norm passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at UnityPointHealth-Allen Memorial, at the age of 81.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gary Kimball; and stepdaughter, Jennifer Kramme.
Norm is survived by his wife, Linda of Waterloo; two daughters, Julie (Willis) Hoffman of Folsom, Calif. and Cindy (Chris) Clark of Orangevale, Calif.; four grandchildren, Lindsay and Katelyn Hoffman and McKenna and Payton Clark; brother, Robert (Lynda) Kimball of Gadsby, Alberta TOC; sister, Mary Lustoff of Ankeny; sister-in-law, Doreen Kimball of Lakeland, Fla. and numerous nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life: Friday, January 9, 2026, from 11:30 to 2:30 p.m., at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, 965 Home Plaza, Waterloo.

So sad to hear the passing of a great friend of the family and a good snowmobile, buddy, that I've known for a lot of years. And had lots of fun snowmobiling with Normie rest in peace. My friend, my buddy. My condolence and prayers are sent to the family Rip.
