My beloved, Charles Wallace LeRoy age 92, died September 6, 2025 in Prescott, AZ from irreversible cardiac arrest after a brief illness. He was born August 4, 1933 in Portland OR, son of Wallace William LeRoy and Marie Whitehead LeRoy. He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife and mother of his children, Cynthia Colby LeRoy, and his son Tomas C. LeRoy. He is survived by his wife Karma M. LeRoy of Prescott AZ, his Brother Jerry (Suzy) LeRoy of Carson City NV, his sons Michael Scott (Kathy) LeRoy of Santa Rosa CA and Andrew Wallace LeRoy of Lompoc CA, his daughter Sharon Marie LeRoy of Lompoc CA, 5 grandchildren, Tom (Samantha), Megan (Jonathan), Stefan, Ben and Gavin, and 2 great grandchildren, Evan and Finnleigh.
Chuck earned his B.S. on electrical engineering, communications, at the University of California, Berkeley and his M.S. in computer science at U.S.C.B.. He spent his career as a civilian for the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force in defense of this country.
Chuck retired at 55 in order to travle, mainly in the R.V.s. He made 3 trips across this country, 2 to Alaska, and one across Canada, being “stranded” in Halifax, Nova Scotia on 9/11/2001. He volunteered for the Boy Scouts and Campfire as a youth leader and board member in Lompoc. He called bingo for the Prescott Elks for 20 years, volunteered at the Prescott Library and was on the Lompoc Library Board. He also delivered Meals on Wheels for 30 years, first in Lompoc, then in Prescott. He was an avid reader, hiker, long time square dancer and Rver.
