Charles R. Mahaffey, 84, of Dennison, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at the Ohio's Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia, after a battle with cancer. Born January 1, 1941 in Dennison, he was a son of the late Charles Matthew and Mary Elizabeth "Bizzie" (Gallagher) Mahaffey.

Chuck was a lifelong Twin City resident who had spent 21 years working in the local brick industry, prior to being employed by Barbour Publishing until his retirement in 2006. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening, in his younger years. Chuck was a talented musician who loved playing the guitar throughout his life.

On April 23,1960, Chuck married the former Charlotte A. Feister with whom he celebrated 65 years of loving marriage this spring. He is also survived by their sons, Richard (Michelle) Mahaffey, Kurt (Kim) Mahaffey, and Burt Mahaffey; grandchildren, Nicole and Logan Mahaffey and Taylor (Vince) Page; his sisters, Rose (Ken) McClain and Evelyn Tomer; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Herman Mahaffey, and a sister, Martha LeMonte.

In keeping with Chuck's wishes, cremation is planned without a public service. His family will celebrate his life privately. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and Ohio's Hospice Foundation.
