Charles W. "Charlie" Micheals, 76, of Chester, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 28, 2025.

Born in East Liverpool on February 13, 1949, Charlie was the son of the late Guy M. and Caroline Colbert Micheals. He was a proud 1967 graduate of Oak Glen High School and a dedicated member of the Chester community throughout his life.

Charlie served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps and remained a proud veteran. He was an active member of the Chester American Legion and was a past commander of American Legion Post 163. In his earlier years, he was a Boy Scout and later gave back to youth in his community as a Cub Scout leader and Pony League baseball coach.

Professionally, Charlie was formerly employed at Globe Refractories and later retired from Hancock County Schools. He was also the owner and operator of Park Place Rentals, a business he ran with pride and integrity.

Charlie had a love for travel, having visited 43 countries throughout his life. He also enjoyed shooting pool and sharing stories of his adventures, always bringing humor and warmth to any room he entered.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved son, Jamie Micheals, and his sisters, Barb Cozic and Caroline "Sis" Micheals.

Charlie is survived by his son, Jason Micheals of Chester; grandson, Logan Micheals of Youngstown; brothers, David Michealsof Chester, Guy Daniel (Nancy) of Negley, Joseph Daniel of Florida, and John Daniel of Chester; sister, Diana Price of Chester; as well as several nieces and nephews who will miss his guidance and storytelling.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Charlie's life on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Arner Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025, from 12:00–2:00 p.m. and 4:00–6:00 p.m., also at the funeral chapel.

Charlie will be remembered for his service, his stories, and the love he had for his family and community. He leaves behind a legacy of strength, service, and laughter.
