Funeral Services for Mr. Charles Thomas “Tommy” Moore, 91, of Monroe, LA, will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 5, 2023, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe with Rev. Norman Bryant and Dr. Greg Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Moore was born June 1, 1932 and passed away on June 30, 2023. He served his country in the Tennessee National Guard. Mr. Moore was a member of Cedar Crest Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, an avid bowler, and bee keeper. Mr. Moore was a member of the Rowland Road Film Ministry, Gideons International, and Northeast Louisiana Florist Association. He owned and operated McMullen’s Flower Shop since 1985.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Green Moore and Edna Irene Daniels Moore; wife, Shirley Ann White Moore; son, Charles Thomas “Chuck” Moore, Jr.; siblings, Buford Moore, Robert Moore, John Moore, Billy Joe Moore, Mattie Bell Chapman, and Pansy Binkley.
Survivors include two children, Theresa Ann Moore Jordan and husband Ricky, David Greene Moore and wife Tammy; six grandchildren, Blake Jordan and wife Kirstie, Eric Jordan, Jacob Jordan, Brandi Brasher and husband Josh, Dusty Parker and husband Tyler, Amber Conrad and husband Chandler; seven great-grandchildren, Brodie James Parker, Vera Ann Jordan, Baxter Brandon Brasher, Piper Rena Parker, Shirley Grace Brasher, Vivian Claire Jordan, and Cameran Greene Brasher; sister-in-law, Julia White; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.
Pallbearers will be Blake Jordan, Eric Jordan, Jacob Jordan, Tyler Parker, Josh Brasher, and Chandler Conrad. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rowland Road Film Ministry.
Memorials may be made to the Gideons International or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Ouachita Healthcare Rehabilitation Center.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe.
