Charles Northshield

I first met Charlie in June 1969 in Vietnam Charlie was like my neighbor. He was from NY and I´m from Boston I quickly developed a relationship with him. I soon found out how intelligent he was and probably more than a lot of our officers. Charlie.was an inspiration to our unit, very calm in adversity and a personable human being. Most of us looked up to him. He and some of our unit would visit children at an orphanage when we could, run by French nuns Charlie was excellent with the children and the future teacher in him was evident. I will miss him inordinately I love Charlie very much and I can tell you my life is better for meeting him. He is my brother in arms and I´m sure God has his arms wrapped around him.
