Charles Michael Roberts

Charles Michael Roberts, 67, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Carol Holly Roberts entered into eternal rest Saturday, September 8, 2018. His family and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday, September 10, 2018 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the Rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m. His Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, September 11, 2018 in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 5 St. Teresa Drive at 12:00 p.m. The Rite of Committal will be held at Riverview Memorial Park in North Charleston. Michael was born August 7, 1951 in Sumter, SC. He was a son of the late Charles Ernest Roberts and Edna Smith Roberts. He began his career as a firefighter and loved teaching firefighter safety at Texas A&M University. He worked for over 30 years as a Senior Site Safety Coordinator before retiring from Bayer/Lanxess Corporation. He was also a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Michael enjoyed playing pool, learning guitar and was an absolute jokester. He was a selfless man who put his family above all. He is survived by his wife, Carol Roberts of Charleston, SC; daughter, Ashley Roberts Keenan (Brian) of Charleston, SC; son, Stephen Holly (Catherine) of Hollywood, FL; brother, Jeff Roberts (Debbie) of Mount Pleasant, SC; three grandchildren, Ethan, Caleb, Lillian and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Paula Marie Roberts and Katherine Ann Roberts.
