Mr. Charles Robertson

My condolences to the family of Charles Robertson who will forever live in my heart as a dearly beloved friend. My writing a book on Margaret Charles Smith, the now internationally acclaimed historic Black midwife, would have been impossible without the endless support of Charles and his family.
As friends of the renowned and respected Charles Robertson know, Charles never wanted the spotlight on him. As a photographer, his camera stayed focused on celebrating others.
I send this message to the family hoping that the support and kindness your beloved Ancestor extended to others continues to flow back to you. May you find peace in knowing that Charles' spirit lives in the abundant works of the diverse students, civil rights activists, cultural workers, writers, historians and the countless others he inspired for decades.

Sending deepest sympathy and praying for God´s support and strength. A true warrior, Foot Soldier, will be remembered for his bravery, commitment to justice and love for education.
