Charles S. Rodstrom, of Fox River Grove, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at the age of 95.
He was born December 3, 1929 in Chicago, the son of the late Einar and Pauline Rodstrom.
Charles enjoyed spending time fishing, watching his beloved Chicago Cubs, as well as collecting and dealing antiques. A very proud business owner, he started and ran his own antique store, Merchants' Antique Row, in Woodstock for many years. Additionally, he had his own antique booth at the Volo Antique Mall. Above all, Charles will be remembered fondly by his family and especially his grandkids for his delightful jokes and sense of humor.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Angie; his children, Debbie Rodstrom and Jeff (Cindy) Rodstrom; his grandchildren, Jessica (Brian) Shriner, Erik (Audrey) Rodstrom, Elisabeth Clary, Michael (Jennifer) Buckley, Andrew (Nikki Pappas) Buckley; and his great-grandchildren, Lilyana Clary, Eleanor Shriner, Evan Shriner, Henry Rodstrom, Hunter Rodstrom, Mason Buckley, and Alexander Buckley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lynn Buckley; and sister, Doris Haraburd.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 9:30am until the time of the funeral Mass at 10:30am at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 410 N 1st St, Cary, IL 60013. Burial will follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Hillside.
