Charles W. Rudacille, 82, of Etters, Fairview Township, passed away, Sunday, September 28, 2025, at his home in Etters, PA. He was the husband of Shearlyn Carol (Melhorn) Rudacille whom he married 58 years ago on July 1, 1967.

Charles was born February 21, 1943, in Dover, PA and was the son of the late Paul and Margaret (Anderson) Rudacille.

He graduated in 1961 from William Penn Senior High School in York, PA. He was career military in the United States Army for over 20 years and proudly served during the Vietnam War. During his time in the military, he received two purple hearts, proudly served with the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment, best known as "The Old Guard", and was promoted to the rank of E-8 Master Sergeant, which is a high-ranking position for a non-commissioned officer. After retiring from the United States Army, he worked for the Harrisburg Post Office for over 15 years.

In addition to his wife, Charles is survived by his two sons, Jeffrey Rudacille and his wife Lori of Waynesboro, PA and Lynn Rudacille and his wife Jasmine of Dillsburg, PA, his siblings, Gary Rudacille of York, PA, Paul Nace of Florida, and Teena Dugan of York, PA, his step sister Beverly Wolf and his step brother, Gregory Nace, both of York, PA. Charles was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Gembe and his step sister, Ginger Dyarman.

A graveside service to celebrate the life of Charles will begin at 10:00 AM, Monday, October 6, 2025, at Mount Zion Cemetery, 3101 Deininger Road, York, PA. Officiating at his service will be Reverend Steven Livermore. Full military honors will be provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard at the graveside service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf, PA.
