  Lancaster - Charles David Rutledge, known to most as Dave or "Cowboy", passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He was born in Los Angeles to parents Dan and Jane Rutledge. He lived the majority of his life in Lancaster, California with the occasional move out of state. He always found his way back home to the Antelope Valley. Dave's life took him on many adventures such as bull riding on the circuit in his early days, team roping, horse shoeing, construction, motorcycle racing, truck driving and in his later years his true calling ministering God's word.
  Dave is survived by his children, daughter Kittrina Rutledge-Young; her daughters Ava Jane and Dixie Mae, son Charles David Rutledge II; wife Gretchen, their children Ryder and Rylee Marie, his eldest sister; Donna Ferrell; husband Ronald Ferrell, younger sister Debbie Adams; husband JC Adams, nieces, nephews and extended family.
  Dave will be remembered for the many lives he touched throughout his life. He knew every darn road there was to get someplace you needed to go. He liked to tell a good story and burn up the dance floor where he would do his famous splits. He lives on in our hearts and memories.
  In lieu of flowers, a donation in Cowboy Dave's name to his place of worship would honor his memory.
