Charles David Singletary, age 79, of Valdosta, transitioned to his heavenly home with family by his side on Monday, November 10, 2025.
Born on April 29, 2025 to the late Oliver and Ola B. Singletary, he was a man of simple things and a big heart. He lived in the Valdosta area for most of his life and established his roots there. He was a loving husband to his wife of 37 years- Edna Kay Singletary and together they built a beautiful life. Charles was so proud of his family and loved them deeply- his devotion to his family always unwavering. A man of faith- he was a member of Azalea City Church of God and enjoyed his church family as well. He was a natural leader- working in management for most of his career. Whenever he had the chance, he could be found spending time outside, especially hunting, fishing, or working in his garden. Every year, you could expect a flourishing garden with beautiful produce He found peace and pleasure outdoors. His presence will be missed by all who had the chance to know and love him.
In addition to his wife and best friend, survivors include children- Tara Lynn Hasty, Jeff (Peggy) Hasty, Ginger Nicole (Dewayne) Johnson, and Melissa Taylor, 16 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, siblings- Gail (Richard) Palmer, Jessie Mae Gonto, and Queenie (Lloyd) Adams.
Charles was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister- in addition to his parents.
Reflection Cremation & Funeral Service is serving the family during this time.
