On 1/08/2025 Charles (Chuck) shed his earthly pain and exited this earth to be present with the Lord. Chuck was born in Chicago to Rosemary Sangster and Robert Smith. He lived in San Diego County for over 58 years and graduated from Grossmont High School. Chuck remained single his entire life and had many friends and loved ones he spent time with. Being very active in AA, he made many close friends, sponsored many and had 40 years of sobriety. His family was very proud of him and grateful. A good sense of intuition and perception were some of his personal qualities. He would tease and be silly at times to make others laugh and smile. Although he didn't have a church home, he loved the Lord, had faith and trusted Jesus as his savior. He will be greatly missed! He is survived by 1 sister, Linda Mitchell, Brother-in-law, Glenn, 2 nieces, Melissa Tidey (husband Jason), and Leslie Spinelli, 2 grand nieces, 1 grand nephew, 3 aunts, 1 uncle and a host of cousins.
