Charles Telfair Summers, 91 of Naples, FL and North Caldwell, NJ passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2016.
Chick was born in West Orange, NJ in 1925 he graduated in 1948 from St. Lawrence University where he was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega. Chick served in the US Naval Submarine Corps during World War II. Chick spent his career in the textile industry founding Diversitex in 1970 leaving a successful, highly regarded business to his son and the third generation of family upon his retirement.
Chick was active in theater, his love being music and singing. He took the leads in dozens of shows whether a stage existed or not. He had been the master of ceremonies at numerous events. Chick was also active in Hospice of Martin County for more than a dozen years while he and his wife were living in Harbor Ridge, Palm City.
Chicks greatest love was for his wife Anne Graham, whom he serenaded at the Kappa House at St. Lawrence University and was married to in 1947. Not a day passed where she was told of his love and her beauty. He is survived by his wife of 69 years Anne Graham; three children, Suzanne (Tom) Mura, William (Karen) Summers and Lynn (Mike) Gagliardi, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Chick always the "life of the party," will be terribly missed by his loving family and friends. Donations in his memory may be made to Hospice of Martin County
