Charles was born on June 8, 1943, in Saint Martinville. He lived a life deeply entrenched in the rhythms of the land he loved so much, embodying the spirit of the swamplands and Atchafalaya. T-Ed made his living by crawfishing, hunting alligators, and fishing, embracing a simpler way of life that resonated with the very essence of nature itself.
Much of T-Ed's happiness stemmed from moments shared with his beloved late wife, as they danced together, letting the world fade away for those precious moments. Those days of laughter and joy defined the essence of their love, a bond that remained unbreakable even in her absence.
Family was everything to T-Ed. He lived for the time spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Every smile and every laugh were treasures that filled his heart with immeasurable joy. As a patriarch, he nurtured and cared for those he loved, passing down wisdom and unforgettable stories about life in the bayou.
He is survived by his children, Randy ( Tracy), Pam (Elmer), Blaine and Roxanne "Nunnie"; brothers, Louis (Barbara), Mervin (Laura) and Michael (Deborah); sisters, Annabelle (Jessie) and Maryann; grandchildren, Sable Guidry (Jullian), Thad Guidry (Meghan), Danika Guilbeau (Health "Blu"), Brooke White (Forrest), Blaze Barras (Faith), Brielle Leblanc (Blake), Ashley Dauphine, Shane Dauphine Thibodeaux (Jenna), Ryan LaGrange, Dusty LaGrange and Brent LaGrange (Robin); great-grandchildren, Kashtyn Brasseaux, Cali Lopez, Kayson Collette, Khloe Guilbeau, Kade Guilbeau, Johnathan Guilbeau (Ella), Owen Guidry, Breana Romero, Sophia Barras, Laila Barras, Ayce Duplechein, Brynlee Dauphine, Sonny Leblanc, Jerzi LaGrange, Ashton LaGrange, Lexon Schexnider, Logan Schexnider and Braylin Kibodeaux; brother-in-law, John Michael Boudreaux; former son-in-law, Randy Dugas; and former daughter-in-law, Nicole Boudreaux.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Russeline Anne Boudreaux Barras; parents, Charles and Angelle Latiolais Barras; brother, Harris Barras; sister, Helen Robicheaux; mother-in-law, Ruby Hotard Boudreaux; father-in-law, Louis Boudreaux; great-grandchildren, Braizlyn Guilbeau, Brennan Dauphine and Rylie Dauphine; and brothers-in-law, Floyd Robicheaux and Donald Thomas.
