Charles Tauby, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on September 16, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on February 2, 1934, in Queens, New York. Charles dedicated his life to serving others, spending a notable part of his career as a supply salesman. He was a hardworking individual who carried out his responsibilities with grace and integrity.
A proud veteran, Charles served in the military from 1952 to 1956, an experience that deeply shaped his character and instilled in him a sense of duty and respect for his community.
Charles is survived by his loving family, including his sons, Charles Tauby, Jim Tauby and his wife Maureen, Richard Tauby and his wife Patty, and his daughter Diana and her husband, the late John Soldano. He also cherished his grandchildren, Erin, Jimmy and his wife Catherine, Kayla and her husband Dennis, and his great-grandchildren, Jack, Emma, and Vivienne.
Charles is predeceased by his wife, Lorraine Tauby. The compassion he showed towards his loved ones will be remembered as a testament to the wonderful person he was.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation services to be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Mangano Family Funeral Home, Inc., located at 1701 Deer Park Ave, Deer Park, NY 11729. A burial will take place the following day, Friday, September 19, 2025 at Calverton National Cemetery. Family and friends who wish to attend the burial are asked to meet at the funeral home by 11:30 AM.
Charles Tauby will be profoundly missed, but his legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew him.
