Charles Michael Tedesco

Charles Michael Tedesco, 86, of Lake City, passed away Monday morning, November 17, 2025. Teddy (Ted) was born on September 26, 1939 to the late Felice A. Tedesco and Emilia Ricci Tedesco in Revere, Massachusetts. He has made Lake City his home for over 45 years and served his country in not only the United States Marines but the United States Air Force as well. He worked for many years as an Jet Mechanic and then worked for the Lake City Veterans Administration Hospital as a HVAC engineer before retiring. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his Marine Corps League, and Marine Devil Dog's group that he was a member of; in which he was currently the oldest member He loved spending time with his family and friends, he was a kind, caring and compassionate, generous man. He loved building and working on model airplanes, reading about the military and military aircraft and spending time with his cats. He is preceded in death by his loving, caring and devoted wife of over 49 years, Yoshiko Tedesco; brother, Francis Tedesco and his sister, Beverly Lodovice.
He is survived by his brothers, Phillip Tedesco of Attleboro, Mass., Michael Tedesco (Linda) of Clarksville, TN and Joseph Tedesco of Lake City; and his sisters, Linda Gorman of Florida and Karen Abbene (Anthony "Skip") of Melrose, Mass. Many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also survive.
A Memorial Gathering for Mr. Tedesco will be conducted on Thursday, December 4, 2025 from 3:00-5:00 P.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Interment of his ashes in Jacksonville National Cemetery will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025 at 9:30 A.M. with military honors rendered.
